The ugly truth about modern day dating

1) Prepare to have majority of your long ass conversations through text making all communication impersonal and unimportant! Great way to get to know each other! NOT. It doesn't hurt to make a phone call to someone you like folks!

2) Two words: SOCIAL. MEDIA... Seems to be here to stay. if it's not on your page, well apparently it didn't happen! Leaving room for inappropriate picture sharing and emotional cheating with absolutely anyone! Be careful with the quiet ones. 

3) Everyone now says "let's hang out" instead of actually asking to go on a date! Thus usually meaning let's "hookup" or juuuuuust in case it didn't go well, they won't feel guilty for not talking to you the next day..."it wasn't a date, right?"  Don't be so easy people!

4) Nowadays it's usually meeting up somewhere in public for a first date rather than getting picked up by prince charming (or princess). Which is probably a great thing considering no one likes when the door bell rings anymore! Everyone hide! I'm guilty.

5) Let's talk a bit about commitment. How many people do you know, if not yourself, who have commitment issues? Let's blame social media once again for that one. Look how many hot ass girls and guys we get to look at and "like." Why would we settle down with just one? When someone says they like you but don't want a relationship OR they want the relationship without the label, do yourself a favor and run. It leaves the open door for cheating and having you as their lil side piece 💁🏼 not happenin! Have self respect.

6) Red Flags! Boy, do I know about these and I'm also the guilty one of ignoring them. If they are "insensitive" to your feelings or "just a private person" yet they can talk to their friends about EVVVVVERYTHING ...uhhh RED FLAG! If they like/love you they should consider how you feel and talk to you! News flash, THEY CHECKED OUT.

7) Fighting. God forbid you fight! Apparently, when you fight it's time to break up. What the fuck? When did fighting for each other and working things out get thrown out the window? Oh yeah, when social media came into the picture and you can just find another on tinder. Get it together people! Work things out. Get a little old school for once.
